The Artaria String Quartet has been the leading pedagogical string quartet in the Twin Cities. Founding the Artaria Chamber Music School in 2002, Artaria String Quartet has mentored groups to success in major national chamber music competitions and have been featured on NPR's "From The Top." Alumni of ACMS have continued to attend the nation's top conservatories, universities, orchestras, and professional ensembles.
The Artaria String Quartet spends their summers coaching the nation's top young string quartets and chamber musicians at Stringwood Chamber Music School from mid June to early July. Stringwood provides their students with an intensive chamber music experience including rehearsals, coachings, masterclasses and concerts of the Artaria String Quartet and Guest Artists as well as immersing themselves in the nature surrounding southeast Minnesota.

The Artaria String Quartet proudly hosts the Saint Paul String Quartet Competition, which provides pre-college string quartets from around the nation the opportunity to showcase themselves and celebrate excellence in string quartet musicianship and performance. Adjudicators for the competition comprise of top professional string quartet members: past judges include Shanghai String Quartet, St. Lawrence String Quartet, Cavani String Quartet, Pacifica String Quartet, Miro Quartet and others.
